Pumpkin Hummus Deep

I guess we’ve all been through that hummus addiction time of our lives? At least most of my friends were. Hummus is so god for us ladies but it also has sooo many calories. ‘Just take one tablespoon’ they say. But who can ever do that? If you have a jar of hummus you eat it all. If you have a bucket – you know what to do!

But here is to us, hummus lover, a Pumpkin Hummus Deep! Lighter version which you can make in a few minutes and enjoy without any guilt feelings.



1 Can of boiled Chickpeas

1/2 to 1 cup of pureed pumpkin (depend on the consistency you prefer)

Salt, paprika, cumin seeds (to taste)

1/2 tbsp olive or better pumpkin oil


  1. Place in a food processor or mix using your blender. Season to taste.
  2. Top with some fresh coriander and enjoy!


It is delicious with carrots, celery, crackers or just like that, enjoyed with a spoon. Also, makes a good addition to your salad or as a side!
